Scentsa at Sephora

I've been wanting to do this post for a long time now (seems like that is always the case!). I never wrote the post because I took pictures inside the store and then erased them because they just didn't really show up that well. Unfortunately the ones I found online really aren't any better but hopefully you can at least see what it looks like.

A few years ago, I was browsing through my Albuquerque Sephora. I decided to check out their "Scentsa" or better known as a "fragrance finder". In case you are unfamiliar with it, this magical machine is a touch screen that starts with the option to search fragrance types or fragrance notes. I wanted to look up a few different perfumes that I have, to see if I could find any commonalities between them.

When clicking on a certain perfumes, Scentsa tells you anything and everything you've ever wanted to know about it, as well as similar perfumes or perfumes with the same notes (which is perfect if your 'go to' perfume has been discontinued). In a matter of like... 3 minutes (extremely user friendly), I found that Jasmine is in every single perfume that I own. When it gave me recommendations for perfumes that I might like, I found one that is absolutely amazing and has been on my wish list ever since. I also learned that I'm drawn to fresh, floral and sometimes citrus scents. Never sweet or spicy.

I will always be a huge fan of learning more about what makes us all different from each other. I love to learn about things that I like or better, things that I didn't even know I liked! Next time you're near a Sephora, I highly recommend checking Scentsa out.
