Thrifted Monkey Table

How was your weekend? We have some big changes going on over here and a very busy next few weeks. However, even though our to-do list is never ending, we still managed to fit in some thrifting and yard sale-ing on Saturday (surprise surprise!).

Six months ago or so I saw this little monkey table in a local thrift shop. I didn't buy because it was a little bit (or maybe a lot bit) out of my comfort zone. It's just not something you see every day. Since seeing it, I've thought about him multiple times and regret not getting him. I tried to find the phone number to this little thrift shop so I could call to see if they still had it but couldn't find contact information anywhere. Saturday we were near the shop and so we stopped in to see if it was there. There he was.. just looking at me and waiting for me to adopt him (less than $30 too!).

I can't wait to figure out what I want to do with him. Lacquer?! Neon?! I'm predicting that he will definitely be holding some beautiful flowers.

I really lucked out on him still being available, I need to take my own advice and act quick when I find something unique that I love. Yesterday we missed out on two bertoia wire side chairs (that can retail up to $600!) for $25 each. I spotted them on Craigslist but didn't call right away like I should have and sure enough someone else snatched them up.

Have you ever left something behind and regretted it?
